Weight management

Diabetes prevention

  • NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (DPP) is a face-to-face and tailored behavioural change programme available to people who are found to be pre-diabetic on their blood tests (HbA1c 42-47 mmol/mol)
  • Eligible participants are now able to self-refer to the programme online if they have a Diabetes UK risk score of 16+  which can be calculated here

Diabetes self-management

  • An online interactive self-management programme for people with Type 2 diabetes is available via the Camden Diabetes Service. The details (including how to self-refer) are available on The myDESMOND patient leaflet
  • There is also an online group for people with diabetes in Camden. You can access the contact details and zoom link via the Camden Diabetes UK Community Group Poster 2022

Health Checks

  • The NHS health check is a free check-up of your overall health
  • All new patients are required to have a new patient check on registration
  • We also invite patients for a health check when they reach the age of 40 and annually from 75 years of age
  • If you have not seen a doctor in 3 years please book an appointment for a review
