GP registrars
You may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar
A GP registrar is a fully qualified doctor who will have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing their specialist training as a GP
Our current registrars are Dr Sarah Yamamoto and Dr Charlotte Allberry
Dr Ruth Heseltine, our academic registrar, won the GP Trainee of the Year Award at the General Practice Awards in 2016
Medical students
We also teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present
You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable
You may ask for the student to withdraw if you would prefer to have your consultation in private
